Working with data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s measurements of tide heights that are recorded every six minutes, the artist shows us what a hurricane looks like. The space between concentric circles is determined by the height of the tide. Here we see the difference between the same hurricane, at different locations.

Precision, systematic ordering, and delicacy describe Baroff’s works, on paper and in three dimensions.
