Costume designer and milliner Veronica Toppino looks to the broad-brimmed hats of the 18th century and the steel-cage crinolines worn during the Victorian era, both fashions to promote what we now call social distance, for her Structure Hats. The version for men consists of the metal skeleton, and its companion, with silk stretched over the aluminum frame, is the female iteration.
