A  recent graduate in Innovation Design Engineering from the Royal College of Art and the Imperial College London, Chih Chiu, originally from Taiwan, created this contraption in 2013 while studying at Wuhan University, actually. A response to deteriorating air quality and to apocalyptic visions, this apparatus is scarily prescient. The small plant on the wearer’s back is a source for oxygen, as clean air, unpolluted by viral matter, may become a valued resource.
